Launch Your Health Care Leadership Journey at Bassett
The Bassett Administrative Fellowship Program is an immersive, 12-month leadership development experience designed to prepare the next generation of health care leaders to address the unique opportunities and challenges of rural health care.
As a member of our inaugural fellowship class, you will have the opportunity to learn across Bassett Healthcare Network and gain a broad understanding of how a health system operates—from strategy and finance to operations, quality, access, and patient experience.
Learn. Lead. Make an Impact.
Throughout the 12-month fellowship, fellows will participate in structured rotations across the hospital and health system while working alongside experienced leaders and teams across the organization.
In addition to rotational experiences, fellows will contribute to meaningful management projects that address real organizational priorities. These projects provide opportunities to apply your education and leadership skills while making a tangible impact on patients, caregivers, and the communities we serve.

Gain exposure to a diverse range of health care functions and develop a comprehensive understanding of the complexities of health system leadership.
Learn From Experienced Leaders
Work closely with leaders throughout Bassett Healthcare Network and build relationships with professionals across clinical, operational, and administrative areas.
Lead Meaningful Projects
Take an active role in management and strategic projects that support Bassett's priorities and create value for the organization.

Build the skills, knowledge, and relationships needed to grow into a future health care executive.

Deadline & Important Dates
- Application Deadline: December 14, 2026
- Semi-finalist Interviews (virtual): January 2027
- Finalist Interviews (on-site): January / February 2027
- Fellowship Starts: August 2027
Application Information
Qualifications
Applicants must be enrolled in or have graduated from a master's-level program in one of the following areas:
- Health Care Administration
- Public Health
- Business Administration
- Another relevant graduate-level program, as deemed appropriate
