How to Apply to the Pharmacy Residency at Bassett
- Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital is in pre-candidate status through ASHP and anticipates participating in the 2027 Resident Matching Program.
- Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital will only accept applications through PhORCAS (Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service). Candidates must also participate in PhORCAS and the Resident Matching Program.
Application Eligibility / Requirements
- Number of positions: 2
- Applicants must:
- Obtain a doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from an ACPE-Accredited School of Pharmacy
- Obtain a New York State Pharmacist License upon hire; or eligibility to sit for licensure and licensed within 120 days of hire.
- Maintain New York State Pharmacist license in good standing throughout employment.
- Applications must include:
- Curriculum vitae
- Official pharmacy school transcript
- Three letters of recommendation (PhORCAS template), include at least two from either direct patient care preceptors or direct patient care supervisors
- The deadline for submitting application materials for Phase I of the match is midnight of the fourth business day after the federal New Year holiday
- The deadline for submitting application for Phase II of the match is seven days after the opening of Phase II unless an exception is granted by the RPD for extenuating circumstances
- Selected candidates will be invited to interview.
- The interview will include a brief presentation from the candidate and a complex patient case work-up.
