Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery

COVID-19 Update

To our Bariatric Surgery Patients and Candidates: During the COVID-19 outbreak, we want you to know that we are here for you and still scheduling appointments. Most appointments will be set up as telemedicine appointments. You will be able to attend your appointment from home using your mobile phone or computer. This helps to ensure your safety as well as the safety of our staff during this critical time. We are currently in the process of implementing this service for our program and will notify you how to proceed once we set up your appointment as a video conference.

If you have not already signed up for MyBassett Health Connection, this is an important step for you to complete now. Please call 1-800-BASSETT or (607) 547-3373 to obtain instructions.

Weight-Loss Surgery Options

Weight-loss isn’t easy, and if you’re looking for weight-loss surgery options, you’ve probably tried every diet or supplement on the market. Obesity affects more than 93 million Americans and is a serious disease that makes losing weight more difficult. Weight-loss surgery may be the tool you need to improve your health, and your life.

We offer comprehensive, minimally invasive surgical options for weight-loss, and a team to support you before, during, and after surgery. Our bariatric surgeons are committed to helping you reach your weight-loss goals and improve your health.

What is Weight-Loss Surgery?

Weight-loss surgery is a term used to describe different types of bariatric procedures. At Bassett Healthcare Network we perform the following types of bariatric surgery:

  • Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy
  • Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
  • Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Band (LAP-BAND®)
