Visiting Hours

At Bassett Medical Center (BMC), we understand being in the hospital is an anxious time for patients, their families, and their friends. Visitation and the support of loved ones, as well as active involvement in the patient’s care, can promote wellness.

Birthing Center Hours & Policies

COVID-19 Updates & Safety Measures: Our birthing center remains open, with COVID-19 safety measures in place.

We understand that these are challenging times, and want your birth experience and pregnancy to be special, all while maintaining the safety for your baby, your family, and our staff. Pediatric Unit

There is unlimited visitation on the pediatric inpatient unit for parents and grandparents. One parent is encouraged to remain overnight with the child. Siblings who are not ill may visit for brief periods, but must be supervised by an adult. Two other visitors, in addition to parents and grandparents, are allowed during regular visiting hours.

Inpatient Psychiatry Unit

Visiting hours for the inpatient psychiatry unit are from 3:00pm - 7:00pm daily. Visiting at other than the established visiting hours can be arranged with the treatment team. There is no age limit. Healthy children are allowed to visit, but they must be accompanied by an adult.
