Bassett Healthcare Network has the unique pleasure of having a team of colorectal surgeons who completed their residency at Bassett Medical Center. Dr. Monzon and Dr. Oceguera were so passionate and committed to the health needs of rural communities that they returned to Bassett Medical Center after completing their fellowships. Each has an extensive training in various techniques including minimally invasive surgeries and the state-of-the-art da Vinci surgical system. Our surgeons are board certified and recognized by the American Board of Surgery, each completing their fellowship in colon and rectal surgery.

Dr. Monzon and Dr. Oceguera have been committed to establishing the Colorectal Surgery Center as a premiere, state-of-the-art care facility in the United States.
