About Me

Dr. Adam Howe is a pediatric urologist with extensive training and experience in the full spectrum of urological disorders. His warm approach and passion for quality patient care sets him apart. In his free time, he likes to spend time outdoors, relax with his family and cats, and is an avid basketball and NY Knicks fan.

Pioneering in Albany

Dr. Howe began his career as a pediatric urologist at Albany Medical College, where he practiced for 9 years. He held the role of Associate Professor of Urology and Pediatrics, was the department’s Medical Student Clerkship Director, and trained 37 urology residents. He introduced pediatric robotic surgery to Albany, being the first to bring this skill set to the area. Additionally, he started a pediatric onco-fertility preservation program, and was the go-to urologist for renal transplant collaboration.

Highly-Specialized Pediatric Urology Care

Dr. Howe has specialized experience in all aspects of pediatric urology, ranging from in-office circumcisions to minimally-invasive surgeries to more complex genitourinary reconstructive surgeries. He sees mothers for prenatal consultation if imaging is concerning for urologic disorders. He also has ongoing studies treating bed wetting using TENS units as an at-home therapy. Dr. Howe has over 20 peer-reviewed publications, serves on the Society for Pediatric Urology’s Task Force, and was a finalist for the national American Urological Association Teaching Award.
