There are over 600 nursing homes in New York State and only 70 made this list. Valley Health Services was one of them. The Best Nursing Homes were selected based on a survey among nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, administration and management working in skilled nursing facilities, as well as an in-depth analysis of key performance indicators on staffing, quality measures and health inspections provided by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, peer recommendations and the facility’s handling of the COVID-19 threat. In building these rankings, Statista and Newsweek took extensive, multiple measures to address the impact of the outbreak and recognize the facilities, which have put in place the best possible responses and protocols.
