Upcoming Patient Flu & COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

• Bassett Family Medicine (739 Route 28 on Southside in Oneonta, Suite 9) is holding vaccine clinics for patients 6 months of age and older on the following dates. 

  Saturday, Nov. 6, 8:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. (flu shots only)
  Saturday, Nov. 20, 8:15 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. (flu shots only)

  Patients may make an appointment by calling Oneonta Health Center (607-433-1790) or Bassett Family Medicine (607-431-1015).

Flu vaccines are covered by most insurance providers. For patients without insurance, costs may range from $40 to $72 depending on whether the qualify for a low-dose or high-dose flu shot. 

Please note that all Bassett Healthcare Network employees are eligible for free flu shots at their local Employee Health Department. Staff clinic dates are taking place in the coming days and weeks. 

People in the following groups are at highest risk for flu complications:

• People with serious long-term health problems (lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, asthma, kidney disease and blood disorders)
• People with immune system weakness (cancer treatment, long-term steroid therapy, HIV/AIDS and other immune diseases)
• People 50 years of age and older

You can help fight the flu, COVID-19, and other sicknesses by washing your hands frequently, covering your mouth and nose when you cough, and staying home from work or school if you have symptoms.
