Samuel S. Dale Trust Donates More Than $18,000 to Little Falls Hospital

Little Falls, NY – Bassett Healthcare Network announced today that Little Falls Hospital has received a generous donation from the Samuel S. Dale Trust. The gift of $18,127 has purchased a new EKG unit for Little Falls Hospital’s Emergency Department.

Little Falls Hospital serves 16,000 patients annually from the Little Falls area, surrounding communities in Herkimer County, and throughout the Mohawk Valley. EKGs (or electrocardiograms, which record electrical signals from the heart to check for different conditions) are performed on approximately 10,000 of those patients.

Dale Trust for this generous gift,” said Dr. Tommy Ibrahim, President and CEO of Bassett Healthcare Network. “For 130 years, Little Falls Hospital has been part of the fabric of the Mohawk Valley. Dale Trust has helped us to be better equipped to care for the residents of Little Falls at Little Falls Hospital’s Emergency Department with this state-of-the-art life-saving equipment,” said Heidi Camardello, Director of Nursing and Operations at Little Falls Hospital. “This machine is crucial to discovering cardiac related issues, which will influence the specific care needed for the patient.”

The Samuel S. Dale Trust has a history of commitment to Little Falls-based organizations that serve residents younger than age 14 and older than age 65. Since 1989, Little Falls Hospital has received numerous generous donations from the Samuel S. Dale Trust.
