Bassett Healthcare Network Hosts 2026 President’s Breakfast

Bassett Healthcare Network hosted its annual President’s Breakfast on June 18 at The Otesaga Resort & Hotel. Each year, this event allows key leaders at Bassett to update community supporters and stakeholders on the latest innovations and developments among Bassett’s network of hospitals, health centers, school-based health centers, skilled nursing facilities and other health partners.

More than 160 guests attended this elegant event and enjoyed a morning meal networking together before listening to a full presentation delivered by Staci Thompson, MHA, FACMPE, President and CEO of Bassett Healthcare Network.

A focus of this year’s address was the network’s three-year, 2026-2028 strategic plan that was meaningfully developed with intention to position the organization for continued growth and success providing the highest quality medical care and health services to the rural communities where Bassett operates.

“Bassett Healthcare Network is building a brighter future for our community. 2025 was a year centered on operational stabilization, meaningful motion, and progress. More people received care, strong leaders are in place to propel growth, and the network is being recognized regionally and nationally for exceptional quality,” said Thompson.

This year, Friends of Bassett Healthcare Network raised $40,250 through the President’s Breakfast, supporting its mission to provide philanthropic support to network initiatives.
