Bassett Healthcare Network Awards Three Little Falls High School Students 2023 Frederika Vickers Conrad and Dr. Joseph Conrad Scholarships

Cooperstown, NY – Bassett Healthcare Network announced today that Little Falls High School students Abigail Becker, Erica Morse, and Reagan Stock were awarded the 2023 Frederika Vickers Conrad and Dr. Joseph Conrad Scholarships. The award is presented annually on behalf of Bassett’s Little Falls Hospital.

The scholarships were presented by: Susan Oakes Ferrucci, DNP, MSN, RN, CNS, Vice President, Chief Hospital Executive and Chief Nursing Officer of Bassett’s Critical Access Hospitals Division (Cobleskill Regional Hospital, Little Falls Hospital, O’Connor Hospital); David Casullo, Little Falls Hospital Board of Trustees chair; Justin Hummel and Tony DeLuca, both Little Falls Hospital Board of Trustees Scholarship Committee members.

“We are proud beyond measure of these outstanding students for their accomplishments, and for choosing a career in healthcare. They will be a great asset to the field,” said Oakes Ferrucci.

Dr. Sue Conrad Quinby and Roger P. Quinby established a scholarship fund in 1973 in memory of Frederika Vickers Conrad and her husband, Dr. Joseph W. Conrad. The Quinbys specified that this fund must be used to award a scholarship to a deserving resident of the Little Falls Central School District interested in pursuing a career in medicine, paramedicine, nursing, laboratory, technical work, hospital administration, or any allied health field, to be determined and approved by the Scholarship Committee of the Little Falls Hospital Board of Trustees. Recipients of this scholarship must be in the top 20% of their class with a GPA of 85% or higher.
