About Valley Residential Services

Valley Residential Services’ carefree senior living, located in East Herkimer, offers the charming ambiance of an Adirondack lodge, while providing the necessary support services that allow residents to retain independence within their community.

The facility offers an efficiency apartment with a kitchenette, living room, bedroom and bathroom, three meals each day in the Community Foundation Dining Room, housekeeping, maintenance, transportation and personal assistance, as required. Daily activities and scheduled outings complement the amenities including a café, library, game room, Adirondack-style porch, hair and nail salon, spacious courtyard, classroom for educational programs and transportation for local shopping areas.

Valley Residential Services also now hosts fourteen new spacious apartments that are large enough to accommodate couples, some with dens and two baths. In addition to Adirondack style decor, restaurant-style dining, daily activities, visitor family rooms, and outdoor accommodations this new wing includes a wellness gym and a beautiful family gathering space.

The facility offers comfortable surroundings that allows residents to have their own space, while providing a sense of community within the facility. Each resident has their own apartment-style room that comes fully furnished, or residents can bring their own furniture.

Visit a Valley Residential Services Open House

The best way to get to know Vally Residential Services is to attend an Open House. Visitors take a 30-minute tour (by appointment only from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) which showcases the apartments, grounds, and gardens. They also include an opportunity to meet VRS's community life staff.
