Welcome to the Bassett Internal Medicine Resident Group Facebook Page. The purpose of this page is to provide a forum for residents and faculty to engage in academic discussions regarding clinical questions and scholarly activities as well as wellness activities within the community.  De-identified cases or topics of interest are appropriate for this forum.

All questions should be generalized, without patient specific identifiers and all content will go through an initial review by the Medicine Chief Resident to ensure HIPAA compliance.

Privacy and Security: By its very nature, a social media site such as this cannot be considered private or secure. You must take appropriate steps to protect both your personal information and that of any patient subject on the Web and on any social media site.

Content: The Bassett Internal Medicine Resident Facebook Group reserves the right to delete user posts or content for reasons including but not limited to: posts containing confidential/proprietary information; content of posts conflicting with the Bassett Internal Medicine Resident Facebook Group policy; posts that are unprofessional or inflammatory (i.e., libelous, defamatory, false, obscene, indecent, lewd, violent, abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, etc.); posts containing anything that adversely affects volunteer involvement; and/or posts that are overall offensive to group members. Anyone who continues to disregard these guidelines will be blocked from the site.

This group is set up as a Facebook “closed” group, which means people can see who’s in the group, but they cannot join without permission from us.
