Subaru Shares the Love for Bassett Cancer Institute
Five Star Subaru of Oneonta generously selected the Bassett Cancer Institute Initiative as a benefiting Hometown Charity during the 2025 Subaru Share the Love Event. From November 20 through January 2, ever new Subaru purchased or leased generated a $250 donation to the initiative, along with an additional $500 matching gift from Five Star Subaru.
Together these contributions raised nearly $30,000 to help expand access to life-saving cancer care for patients throughout our region, ensuring more people can receive high-quality treatment and support close to home.
Mirabito Round Up
Round up at the pump! The Friends of Bassett partnered with Mirabito Gas Stations during the month of March 2026. Customers filling up during this month had the opportunity to "round-up" purchases in our region to donate to our network-wide School-Based Health Program. Bassett's School-Based Health Program provides vital access to pediatric care for more than 7,000 children in our communities.
On Friday, April 24th, Mirabito presented Bassett Healthcare Network's School-Based Health Program with a check for $30,000. The funds were made possible through the generosity of Mirabito customers who rounded up their purchases, combined with a significate corporate contribution from Mirabito.
Country Club Automotive Group
Country Club Automotive Group committed to donating a portion of all October 2025 sales to support the Bassett Cancer Institute Expansion Initiative at the Fox Care Center in Oneonta, NY. This project will enhance cancer care service for patients across our region, ensuring access to advanced treatment close to home.
Thanks to the support of Country Club Auto Group and their customers, the campaign resulted in a generous contribution of $10,000. Their dedication strengthens local healthcare and demonstrates how businesses and communities can work together to make a meaningful difference.
Hoffman Helping Hands
The Friends of Bassett is partnering with Hoffman Car Wash to raise funds for the expansion of the Bassett Cancer Institute at Fox Care Center. With the purchase of a Hoffman Car wash voucher 50% of all proceeds will directly benefit the cancer expansion project. You wash your car all season long, help us wash away barriers to cancer care!
Cancer is one of the most common chronic diseases in the United States. Due to the rising number of cancer patients in our rural region, more access is needed. An expansion of the Bassett Cancer Institute at Fox Care Center will increase access for cancer patients both in Oneonta and at the Bassett Medical Center location, and will provide a more comfortable, soothing cancer care environment for patients.
