Interventional Radiology

Interventional radiology is a medical sub-specialty of radiology which utilizes minimally-invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases. These techniques are less invasive than open surgery resulting in faster recovery, less discomfort and fewer associated complications.

The range of diseases and organs responsive to image-guided therapeutic and diagnostic procedures are extensive and constantly evolving. These include, but are not limited to, diseases of gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, genitourinary, pulmonary and musculoskeletal systems.

All of Bassett’s interventional radiologists are board-certified radiologists with advanced fellowship training in image-guided procedures. Our advantage is using state-of-the-art imaging techniques to quickly and accurately visualize, diagnose and treat appropriate conditions without the need for surgery.
