da Vinci Hysterectomy

A hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus) is still one of the most common surgeries performed in the United States. It can be performed either through the vagina, using small incisions through the abdomen (laparoscopically), or through a single larger abdominal incision (laparotomy), depending on the size of your uterus and the reason for your hysterectomy. Sometimes the cervix is left in place (supracervical hysterectomy). Sometimes it is recommended that the ovaries and fallopian tubes are removed as well. If a hysterectomy is medically necessary, our providers will be here to discuss all of your options and help you choose the best option.
