Bassett Healthcare Network Billing, Registration and Scheduling System.

All hospitals and health centers within the Bassett Healthcare Network use a billing, registration and scheduling system that is seamlessly connected to Bassett Healthcare Network’s electronic health record system. Patients have access to their personal health record through a secure patient portal, MyBassett, where  they will be able to communicate with physicians on non-urgent issues, access consolidated billing statements, make payments, receive appointment reminders and request a prescription renewal, all online.

Electronic Health Record

An electronic health record is a digital version of your chart that can be shared by doctors, hospitals and patients. With a single patient record spanning all points of care, hard-to-find information becomes a thing of the past. Results and notes generated during your visit to the hospital, physician office, or satellite blood draw station are consolidated and accessible in one secure record. Your medical history, allergies, current medications, and all results are entered into the electronic health record. With this secure confidential record, medical providers can respond quickly to deliver the best care possible. A secure, single electronic medical record improves patient safety and the quality of care.

What is MyBassett

MyBassett gives you the power to view your electronic health record, securely from any computer, tablet or smartphone.

If you receive care or have tests performed at any Bassett Healthcare Network hospital, medical clinic, lab or outpatient site, your appointments, test results and visit summaries will be viewable to you on MyBassett. You will also be able to communicate with your physician on non-urgent issues, access consolidated billing statements, make payments, receive appointment reminders and request a prescription renewal, all online. In the future we will be adding online registration and online appointment scheduling for some of the Bassett Medical Group providers.

How do I get access to my electronic health record in MyBassett?

Visit www.mybassett.org and ask for an activation code by choosing “Request one now” or at the end of your visit with any Bassett or A.O. Fox provider, you will receive a printed after-visit summary that includes details about your visit and an activation code to create an account on MyBassett.  The app can be downloaded for your smartphone by downloading MyChart and choosing Bassett Healthcare Network.  You will need to go through the initial signup process by visiting www.mybassett.org

Can I view a family member’s health record in MyBassett?

If you're the primary caregiver for children or an adult family member, and already have a MyBassett account, you may receive proxy (approved guest) access to view portions of their medical information. This will be done at an appointment with your loved one to ensure only a person with an established relationship receives proxy access. If proxy access is required before your loved one has an appointment with a healthcare provider, you may complete a form and fax or mail it to the provider's office.

Will my physicians have access to my entire A.O. Fox Medical Record?

Yes.  Your entire A.O. Fox electronic health record will be accessible to any of your Bassett Healthcare providers.

Billing and Payment

You might receive care from several different healthcare providers or at several Bassett Healthcare Network locations along your patient journey. For example, you may see your family physician, have an X-ray taken, get blood work done, receive anesthesia or need medical transportation. Bassett Healthcare Network will send a separate bill for each service location. As a result, you potentially can receive a bill from:

  • Bassett Medical Group
  • Bassett Medical Center
  • A.O. Fox Hospital
  • A.O. Fox Hosital - Tri-Town Campus
  • Little Falls Hospital
  • Cobleskill Regional Hospital
  • O’Connor Hospital
  • Valley Health Services
  • A School-Based Health Center
  • A private practice, following a visit with a physician not associated with Bassett Healthcare Network. This would not be billed by Bassett or MedSPAR.
  • An ambulance company

You will receive a bill for each visit, but monthly you will receive a consolidated statement from each location you receive care. You can always view a consolidated statement by viewing your statement on MyBassett.

After you review a bill, if you have any question about your bill, you can call the Billing Customer Service Department at 607-547-3480 or 800-642-0455.
