CERTIFIED DIETARY MANAGER/REGISTERED DIETITIAN - Full time position for a Certified Dietary Manager or Registered Dietitian to manage the Dietary Department of O’Connor Hospital.  Responsibilities include planning, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations.  This includes providing nutritional and attractive meals for patients and facility employees; managing an effective dietary staff; maintaining an organized and sanitary environment; monitoring supply inventories;  purchasing of food; ensuring proper storage of food and supplies; and preparing and monitoring the departmental budget. Requirements for a Certified Dietary Manager include Associates degree in a food services related field, certification as a Dietary Manager and ServeSafe Certification.   Requirements for a Registered Dietitian include bachelor’s degree in dietetics, NYS licensure as a Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist.  CDM must have two years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility or other related medical facility.  Entry level RD’s will be considered.

 

HOUSEKEEPER – Night Shift - O’Connor Hospital has a full time position for a housekeeper on the night shift. Primary responsibility is to provide an orderly, safe and sanitary environment in the hospital. Previous experience in housekeeping preferred, high school diploma or GED required.  The schedule includes a weekend and holiday rotation. 

 

NURSING UNIT ASSISTANT – Emergency Department – Full time position on night shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., 3 shifts per week, including a weekend and holiday rotation.  Responsibilities include assisting nursing staff with patient care, patient registration, clerical duties, and inventory maintenance.  Ability to learn and use clinical information systems and knowledge of medical terminology required.  Patient care experience preferred, computer literacy required.  High school diploma or GED required.

 

RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST – Per diem positions for radiologic technologists to provide coverage in full service department.  Responsibilities include performing a variety of radiographic procedures Availability for evenings or nights preferred.  NYS licensure as a radiologic technologist required.  Certification as a CT technologist, or willingness to obtain preferred. 

LPNs – PER DIEM – LPN for per diem work in Specialty Clinics and/or inpatient unit

RNs –Per Diem – ED and Inpatient -Experienced RNs for per diem work in hospital Emergency Department and Inpatient Unit. ED position requires ED experience or equivalent and ACLS, PALS, TNCC and ENPC or willingness to obtain.  Inpatient position requires ACLS and PALS or willingness to obtain.  Premium pay for per diem work

CNAs– Per diem– Experienced CNAs for inpatient unit. Per diem on night and day shifts. Current certification as a nursing assistant required.
