Little Falls Hospital is a 25 bed inpatient unit that provides acute care, comfort care and a swing bed program (Skilled Nursing level of care). Acute care is for those patients who require care for an acute medical issue; comfort care is for those patients who are in the end stage of their disease who are in need of symptom management, pain control. The swing bed is for those patients who need to recover from an acute hospital day and meet the requirements.
There are a wide range of services available on the inpatient unit such as cardiac monitoring, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, nutrition services, case management and social work.
To help patients receive seamless medical care during their stay our unit is covered by the hospitalist and fully backed by many of our primary care physicians and specialist.
Our hospitalists are a group of physicians and nurse practitioners who will cover your care while you are in the hospital. They are available to monitor your condition, discuss medication management and assist in preparing you for discharge.
