O'Connor Hospital

September 12, 2016

Delhi, N.Y. – Bassett Healthcare Network – O’Connor Hospital announces a flu clinic and pharmacy open house on Saturday, September 24th from 8A.M. to Noon. The cost is $30.00 or $38 for high dose vaccine or FREE with valid Medicare, Medicaid Advantage or Medicaid card. Cash and credit cards are accepted methods of payment. There will be a free door prizes, refreshments and medication and vaccine consultation provided in the O’Connor Hospital pharmacy.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that the influenza vaccination be administered to all people six months of age or older as soon as the vaccine is available. People at high risk of serious flu complications include young children, pregnant women, people with chronic health conditions like asthma, diabetes or heart and lung disease, and people 65 years and older. Vaccination is also important for health care workers and other people who live with or care for high-risk people to keep from spreading flu to high-risk people. Please check the CDC or NYS Department of Health websites for other high-risk categories and more flu information. You can help fight the flu by washing your hands frequently, covering your mouth and nose when you cough, and staying home from work or school if you have symptoms of the flu
