Bassett Responds to HOF Ice Bucket Challenge

September 1, 2014

Cooperstown, NY – The National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown recently challenged Bassett Medical Center to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. We immediately accepted and you will find Bassett’s response posted at facebook.com/Bassett.Network.

President & CEO Dr. Vance Brown, along with Chief of Radiology Dr. James Peters, Vice President of Patient Services Scott Bonderoff, and Employee Health Manager Stacy Nelson took on the Challenge and responded with a bit of a twist.

Rather than call out another organization to take the Ice Bucket Challenge, Bassett’s President and CEO encouraged individuals to support the challenge in the way they see fit, and while there is not yet a cure for ALS, Dr. Brown encouraged everyone to take this opportunity to refocus on their own health. He then sent it back to the Hall of Fame with an invitation to join Bassett in the Cupola 5K, Saturday, October 11 to promote wellness and set the example for the communities where we live and work.
