• O'Connor Hospital to Host Community Flu Clinic and Pharmacy Open House

    O'Connor Hospital

    September 8, 2017

O’Connor Hospital will host its annual community influenza clinic on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 8 a.m. – noon. No appointment is necessary to receive the immunization; however those looking to participate should register at the hospital’s main registration desk in the front lobby on that day from 8 a.m. – noon.

Also on Oct. 7, the hospital pharmacy will host an open house with light refreshments. A pharmacist will be on-site offering medication consultation for patients who have questions about medications.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that the influenza vaccination be administered to all people six months of age or older. In addition to receiving the vaccine, you can also help to fight influenza by frequently washing your hands, covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough, or cough into your sleeve if you don’t have a tissue and staying home from work or school if you have symptoms.

For questions about the Oct. 7 community flu vaccination clinic, please contact O’Connor’s infection control nurse, Carol Howard, RN, at 607-746-0334.
