Registered Nurse-Emergency Department-Full Time and Per Diem Positions

The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is accountable for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process. The RN assesses, plans, delivers, coordinates, integrates, and evaluates nursing care related to patients needs. The RN contributes to the support of patients through interdisciplinary teamwork. The RN is accountable to assure that the care provided is consistent with applicable standards,regulations, statutes and state, federal law. The RN serves as a resource for other staff and clinicians as required. The RN provides leadership to department staff, serving as a resource and mentor. 

 

Key Benefits of this Position:

Full time 7:00PM-7:00AM position to include every other weekend

Full time 11:00AM-11:00PM positions to include every other weekend. 

Two years nursing experience ,one year emergency department experience preferred.

 

Per diem positions

Requirements:

Position requires extensive standing, occasional sitting and routine walking.

Ability to lift, possibly heavy lifting in support of patient positioning, instrument and equipment handling.

 

Education:

Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelors preferred.

 

 

Experience

One year RN experience in a hospital healthcare setting required.

3-5 Years of RN Emergency Department experience preferred

Certifications:

Current  NYS licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse, required.

BLS Certification, required within thirty days of hire.

ACLS Certification, required within six months of hire.

PALS and TNCC or ENPC Certifications, required within one year of hire.

NALS, preferred.

Skills:

Excellent motor, hand, eye, coordination and manual  dexterity required.

Ability to handle and operate equipment, read, retains and comprehends written and oral medical and technical information.

Ability to build rapport quickly, Develop trust, sustain working relationships, and represent LFH positively in internal and external meetings is required. Must be proficient with Microsoft  Office applications, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Previous experience with medical records technology, preferred. 

Strong time-management and organizational skills, required.

Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills, required.
