Pharmacist- Full Time

The Staff Pharmacist/Clinical Pharmacist, under moderate supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, is responsible for the medication distribution process and the provisions of pharmaceutical care throughout the hospital, maintaining a thorough understanding and knowledge of drugs and drug therapy; provides training and supervision for other non-professional Pharmacy staff, provides drug information and training for various hospital personnel, patients, and the community and provides other pharmacy services.  In the absence of the Director, the Pharmacist is in charge of the service.  Clinically, the Pharmacist will join the current operations of and facilitate the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems/programs in both clinical and traditional pharmacist roles in hospital inpatient and clinic outpatient settings, while promoting desirable patient outcomes through the use of appropriate, safe, cost-effective therapies, as well as, promote education and understanding of same throughout the healthcare system.

Requirements:

General office environment with significant computer and telephone time, however, routine standing, stooping, bending, and walking, required. 

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Repetitive use of hands and fingers

Must be able to physically operate the equipment used for the job.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Pharmacy, required.

Doctor of Pharmacy, preferred

Experience

Previous hospital pharmacy experience, preferred.

Certifications:

Current license and Registry in New York State as a Pharmacist in good standing.

Skills:

Must be able to engage and effectively communicate with individuals and groups of adults at all levels within the organization.

Ability to build rapport quickly, develop trust, sustain working relationships, and represent CRH positively in internal and external meetings, required.

Strong time-management and organizational skills, required.

Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills, required.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to, Excel and Word required
