Patient Care Technician-Full Time and Per Diem Positions - Inpatient Unit

The Patient Care Technician I is a key member of the nursing care team and under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), assists with direct and indirect patient care, and support to patients and health care team members.  Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Patient Care Technician II helps to provide interventions that are prescribed by the treatment plan. Shares accountability for quality patientoutcomes.

Key Benefits of this Position:

Full time 6:45AM-3:00PM position to include variable weekends

Full time position 10:45PM-7:00AM to include variable weekends

Full time float position 11:00PM-7:00AM to include every other weekend.  


Per diem position to include variable shifts


Position requires extensive standing, bending, and walking.

Ability to push/pull up to 50lbs and lift objects of up to 50lbs is occasionally required.


High school diploma or equivalent, required.


Previous patient care experience, preferred

Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred; completed training within six (6) months from date of hire.


Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, preferred

Licensed Practical Nurse Certification, preferred

Current BLS certification preferred, required within ninety (90) days of hire


Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, required.  

Ability to build rapport quickly, develop trust, sustain working relationships, and represent LFH positively in internaland external meetings is required.

Ability to quickly and independently prioritize and anticipate patient care needs.
