Administrative Supervisor (Resource Nurse) Full Time

The Administrative Supervisor is an extension of the nursing management team. The Administrative Supervisor integrates, coordinates and oversees the activities of hospital and hospital personnel on days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Acts in an administrative capacity to all departments in the absence of department leadership. Routinely consults with staff in all areas regarding patient status, employee and physician needs. The Administrative Supervisor assists front line staff as needed, ensures patient safety, supports staff nurses in all departments, and assists in the orientation of new nurses. Other duties include troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise, assisting in employee health activities, communicating with patients and families,  administering contrast injections in CT and MRI,  administering IV medications in nuclear medicine, assisting nurse educator in training as needed and managing the morgue responsibilities. The Administrative Supervisor will round on patients in all departments and act as a liaison with Managers and Administrator- on- call   to ensure efficient and safe operations. 

Key Benefits of this Position:

Full time night position 7P-7A to include variable weekends


Position requires extensive standing, occasional sitting and routine walking.

Ability to lift, possibly heavy lifting in support of patient positioning, instrument and equipment handling.


Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelors preferred.



Two (2) years of nursing experience


Current NYS licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse, required.

BLS Certification required

ACLS required within 6 months of hire


Excellent motor, hand, eye, coordination and manual dexterity required.

Ability to handle and operate equipment, read, retains and comprehends written and oral medical and technical information.

Ability to build rapport quickly, develop trust, sustain working relationships, and represent LFH positively in internaland external meetings is required.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Power Point.

Previous experience with medical records technology, preferred. 

Strong time-management and organizational skills, required.
