Nursing Unit Clerk - Per Diem

The Nursing Unit Clerk works under the direction of the Director of Inpatient Services to perform secretarial/clerical duties associated with clinical nursing. The nursing unit clerk is responsible for processing providers' orders, communication, and other general clerical duties of the nursing unit.  The nursing unit clerk must be able to organize and handle a multiple task environment while maintaining excellent customer service skills and a calm demeanor.

Key Benefits of this Position:

Per Diem:  6:45pm - 7:15am

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent, required.

Experience

Previous experience in a healthcare related position, preferred.

Skills:

  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

  • Ability to build rapport quickly, develop trust, sustain working relationships, and represent CRH positively in internal and external meetings is required.

Physical Requirements

  • Position requires extensive standing, bending, and walking.

  • Ability to push/pull up to 50lbs and lift objects of up to 50lbs is occasionally required.

  • Category I risk exposure as defined by OSHA.
