CT Technologist - Per Diem

The C.T. Technologist performs imaging anatomical information from a cross-sectional plane of the body, with each image generated by a computer synthesis of x-ray transmission data obtained in many different directions in a given plane. The C.T. Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, addresses patient concerns, and performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.

Per Diem

Education:

Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology, required.

Experience

  • Previous Radiographer/CT experience, required.

  • Previous experience with P.A.C.'s and R.I.S., preferred.

Certifications:

  • Current NYS licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, required.

  • American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT/ARRT CT) certification, preferred.

  • BLS certification, required.

Skills:

  • Excellent motor, hand, eye, coordination and manual dexterity required.

  • Ability to handle and operate equipment, read, retains and comprehends written and oral medical and technical information.

  • Ability to build rapport quickly, develop trust, sustain working relationships, and represent CRH positively in internal and external meetings is required.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, required.

  • Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills, required.

Physical Requirements

  • Position requires extensive standing, occasional sitting and routine walking.

  • Ability to lift, possibly heavy lifting in support of patient positioning, instrument and equipment handling.

  • Category I exposure as defined by OSHA.
