In addition to our research, education, and outreach activities, we maintain an active occupational health clinic, known as HealthWorks. HealthWorks is designed to offer area employers innovative solutions to keep employees healthier and safer while managing employee health care expenses. Our goal is to help your company control the skyrocketing cost of medical insurance and Workers' Compensation coverage while reducing losses associated with illness, injury and absenteeism. Lastly, we have a mobile clinic that can bring occupational health services on-site.

Current research projects address challenges in all three industries, and span the public health model from surveillance and data collection through intervention design, implementation, evaluation, and research to practice. Outreach and education activities include on-farm safety trainings and surveys and farm emergency response training in the areas of first aid, CPR, and fire extinguisher training. The John May Farm Safety Fund provides financial assistance to make necessary safety improvements on small and medium-sized farms. We have created a PPE program that offers a variety of selected products that are affordable and appropriate for farmers. Our program features convenient access, low costs, and an inventory of continually updated merchandise. Clinical Consultation is provided through our Farmers' Occupational Health Clinic, a diagnostic clinic that can include a worksite assessment as needed. Our center also includes a library that serves the agricultural community, as well as safety and health professionals. Social work services are provided as part of the Farm Partners program, which provides free and confidential counseling and case management assistance to farmers and their families.
