Medical Kit Supplies

Medical kits are a standard part of the sideline equipment for games and practices.

Contained in theses kits can be a wide array os different supplies.

The amount of supplies depends on your needs.  For instance, if you do not use alot of tape, you should not overfill your kit with tape.

  • There are basically two types of tape: non-elastic (traditional athletic tape) and elastic
  • Athletic tape is most common, but elastic tape (3 rolls next to athletic tape) is very versatile and can be used for many different procedures
  • Pre-wrap or under wrap (black roll) is used prior to many taping procedures
  • First aid supplies range from gauze, telfa pads, bandaids (different sizes) tounge depressors, cotton tip applicators, anti-biotic cream, hydrogen peroxide, steri-strips (butterfly closures) and gloves
  • CPR shield, mouth guard (sport dependent), second skin (blister control), saline solution, heel and lace pads (areas of high friction such as heel and laces of a foot), scissors, tuff skin (adherent), and hand sanitizer are pictured here
  • Arm sling (can also have other types of splints as well), padding (different thickness), elastic wraps (different sizes and lengths), ice bags, and theraband (elastic resistance band for exercises)
