Bassett Healthcare Network offers telemedicine for dermatology (teledermatology) in many of our offices. Telemedicine allows patients to receive many of Bassett’s advanced dermatology services without having to travel far from home.

With telemedicine, a nurse conducts a visit with a patient in the exam room while using secure audio and visual capturing technologies to share the medical information with a remote medical provider, often in real-time. Based on the findings from this telemedicine exam, your dermatologist will provide you with treatment options or might request that you come in for a visit in-person.

Another service option is e-consults, which allows your primary care practitioner to examine you, take pictures of the condition, and forward these pictures to one of our board-certified dermatologists to review remotely. The dermatologist will provide your primary care practitioner with treatment options or might request that you come in for a live visit.
