Receiving a positive diagnosis of breast cancer can raise many questions and concerns about your health and your treatment options. The complexity of the health care system can feel overwhelming at this difficult time in your life. You may also find that you need assistance in getting the care you need.
Bassett’s Breast Cancer Patient Navigator Program is here to help you.
Your Navigator is dedicated to ensuring that you get the knowledge and support you need to successfully navigate the health care system by helping to eliminate or reduce barriers to cancer care as well as making sure that you receive the best care possible.
The Breast Cancer Patient Navigator can:
- Guide you through the complex health care system
- Help you find ways to pay for your health care if you don’t have insurance
- Help you fill out insurance forms
Direct you to health care services for further diagnosis and treatment- Direct you to local resources and support to meet your needs and the needs of your family
- Help you keep track of and find ways to get to your appointments
- Help you get your questions answered
- Help you find more information on health care
The Patient Navigator program will benefit you through:
