Patient Satisfaction Scores Put Walton Health Center Among Top In Nation
For 2011, patients surveyed who received services at Bassett Healthcare Network - Walton Health Center rated their experience with an overall average score of 93.2. Walton Health Center has consistently rated higher than average in the past five patient satisfaction surveys, with four out of the five in the top 10 percent. More than 700 medical practices in the nation use Press Ganey surveys to measure patient satisfaction.
“Walton Health Center has been providing excellent health care services to the local rural population for more than 25 years,” said Chris Conkling, health center manager. “These scores are a testament to the consistent, quality health care that families count on and will continue to receive.”
Press Ganey surveys ask patients to rank friendliness, concern expressed by nurses and physicians, inclusion in decision making, understandable instructions, time spent with patient and likelihood of recommending the practice to others. The majority of the mean (average) scores for Bassett’s rural center in Walton ranked 90 or higher, with very high ranking scores for courtesy and working together, and for patients recommending the practice to others.
Dr. Susan Fiore joined the Walton Health Center in 2011 and provides primary health care along with Janice Bowker, A.N.P. who has been with the center since 1989.
