Bassett's Sidney Health Center Adds Family Practice Physician

Cooperstown, N.Y. – Carlton Rule, M.D., has joined the Department of Family Medicine at Bassett Healthcare Network where he will serve as a primary care provider at Bassett’s Sidney Health Center, located adjacent to Tri-Town Regional Hospital.

Dr. Rule will also serve as medical director at Tri-Town Regional Hospital, which provides emergency services and a full-service laboratory, including radiology, CT, mammogram and ultrasound, to the Tri-Town area. He is co-medical director of At Home Care, Inc. and medical director of First Community Care of Bassett, a supplier of durable medical equipment.

Prior to joining Bassett as a primary care provider, Dr. Rule was executive vice president of medical affairs at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.

Dr. Rule received his undergraduate degree at Cornell University and his medical degree at New York University Medical School. He completed a residency in family practice at Highland Hospital in Rochester.
Dr. Rule is board certified in family medicine and has been a physician for 18 years.
