Bassett Names Several To Network Positions

Cooperstown, N.Y. – Bassett Healthcare Network has recently named three individuals to network appointments. Director of Pharmacy Services at A.O. Fox Hospital Patrick Mongillo, R.Ph., has recently been appointed Network Pharmacy Director for Bassett Healthcare Network. Connie Jastremski, R.N., M.S., M.B.A. has been named Bassett Healthcare Network Chief Nursing Officer. Tim Williammee, MT (ASCP), CLT (NYS), has been named Bassett Healthcare Network Laboratory Director.

“These positions were created in recognition of the opportunity to strengthen our care delivery system across the network,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Bertine C. McKenna, Ph.D. “All of the individuals named bring effective time-tested leadership and experience in their respective disciplines to the new network roles.”

Mongillo, who retains his position at Fox Hospital, brings three decades of pharmacy experience to his new network role as well as operational expertise, having been chief operating officer at The Hospital in Sidney (now Tri-Town Regional Hospital) between 2003 and 2005. As pharmacy director for the network, Mongillo will provide broad oversight over pharmacy services at the affiliated hospitals within Bassett Healthcare Network – Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, Little Falls Hospital, Cobleskill Regional Hospital, O’Connor Hospital in Delhi and Tri-Town Regional Hospital in Sidney.

“We have the opportunity to align our services, share our strengths, best practices and resources among the affiliates,” said Mongillo. “We can learn from one another, integrate standards of practice and at the same time recognize that each site will maintain its own unique personality in providing pharmacy services to their patients.” He is a member of the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists and the New York State Council of Health Systems Pharmacists. Mongillo lives in Unadilla with his wife Lori and two children, Kelly and Mark.

In her new role as chief nursing officer for Bassett Healthcare Network, Jastremski will have oversight of nursing practice within Bassett’s affiliate hospitals. “This new role is very exciting and will allow the nursing leaders in each of the affiliates the ability to share more easily with one another,” said Jastremski. “I look forward to helping to facilitate the work of the nursing leadership in creating best practices to share across all of the hospitals in our network.”

Jastremski joined Bassett in 2003 as Vice President of Nursing and Patient Care Services at Bassett Medical Center, and in her three decades plus nursing career, has received numerous awards and accolades and has lectured nationally and internationally on neuroscience nursing, nursing administration and professional issues.

Williammee brings 32 years of laboratory experience (22 of those years with Bassett), including work as a bench technologist, microbiology supervisor and most recently as manager for core lab services at Bassett Medical Center. He will have oversight of laboratory services at Bassett Medical Center and at the affiliated hospitals within the network. “I look forward to building upon and strengthening the commitment to excellence among the network laboratories in providing consistent, quality service to our providers and patients,” said Williammee. Williammee has guided Bassett Medical Center’s Laboratory through several perfect regulatory surveys and his dedication is clear to all who interact with him
