Bassett Cancer Survivors' Day
Cooperstown, N.Y. – Cancer Survivors’ Day is a celebration of life and it will take place once
again this year on Sunday, June 5, from noon to 2:00 p.m. in the main lobby of the Bassett Clinic building in Cooperstown. The event includes a family style barbecue for cancer survivors, their families and friends, as well as a chance auction. Daryl from Balloon Extravaganzas will be back again to entertain children with colorful creations to take home. Every year, hundreds of cancer survivors, their families and friends participate in this celebration. Last year, a record number attended the event, which is held in conjunction with National Cancer Survivors’ Day.
“This event, which grows in size every year, allows our staff and community to come together and honor cancer survivors’ strength and courage,” said James Leonardo, M.D., Ph.D., division chief of hematology/oncology at Bassett.
The event is free to cancer survivors and guests. (Up to three guests per registration.) Please call 1-800-BASSETT by May 31 to register.
