Providers Join Bassett's West Winfield Health Center To Meet Local Needs

Cooperstown, N.Y. – Two advanced practice clinicians have recently joined Bassett’s West Winfield Health Center to help meet the community’s primary and acute health care needs. Family nurse practitioner Crystal Ferguson, along with James Martin, physician assistant, see patients of all ages at the center.

Ferguson, who lives in Richfield Springs, recently completed a master’s degree in family nurse practitioner studies at State University of New York Institute of Technology. Before joining Bassett, Ferguson was director of nurses at Harding Nursing Home in Waterville and had previously worked for Herkimer County Public Health as a nurse/case manager. She has geriatric experience as well as special care experience in cardiac care and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Martin began at Bassett in 2009 and provided care to patients at Oneonta Health Center until last fall when he joined West Winfield. He has over two decades of experience as an advanced practice clinician. Martin earned his undergraduate degree at State University of New York at Fredonia and a Master of Science in nursing at Pace University.
