Nurse Practitioner Joins Bassett At Cobleskill Regional Hospital

Cooperstown, N.Y. – Acute care nurse practitioner John Sapovits, has joined the Bassett Healthcare Network and will provide care for inpatients at Cobleskill Regional Hospital. Sapovits, who has worked as a nursing professional since 1994, recently completed critical care and hospice experiences as a nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania.

"We welcome John in this new role as a nurse practitioner caring for inpatients within the hospitalist division at Cobleskill Regional Hospital," said Joyce Burton, D.O., inpatient medical director at Cobleskill Regional Hospital. "His broad depth of training and experience will enhance our mission and goal of delivering excellent inpatient care."

Sapovits completed an undergraduate business degree at Temple University, received a diploma in nursing from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in nursing at Thomas Jefferson University. In 2009, he earned a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sapovits holds an adult acute care nurse practitioner certification and is a certified critical care nurse. He is qualified in BCLS (basic cardiac life support) and ACLS (advanced cardiac life support).
