Cooperstown, N.Y. – Bassett’s health center in Norwich has expanded its practice on Calvary Drive, adding two family practice physicians and a family nurse practitioner to its staff. Arthur Ticknor, M.D., board certified in family practice, was in private practice in Norwich since 2004, and was previously on staff at Chenango Memorial Hospital from 1998 to 2004. Jennifer Greggo, M.D., M.P.H., joined Bassett’s Norwich center as a family practice physician in 2009 after completing a family medicine residency program at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse. Michelle Kelley, family nurse practitioner, had practiced in the Roswell, New Mexico area, and is the most recent addition to Bassett’s Norwich Health Center. The providers will see patients of all ages.
"We're very excited to have three new providers join the Norwich practice," said medical director Dr. Scott Cohen. "Drs. Greggo and Ticknor, and nurse practitioner Michelle Kelley, are excellent providers. They bring a variety of clinical experiences with them and will help us fill a need within the community. They are warmly welcomed to Bassett and Chenango County."
Dr. Ticknor earned his undergraduate degree at Colgate University, in Hamilton, and completed his medical degree at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed a family practice residency at Highland Hospital through the University of Rochester. After earning his undergraduate degree, Dr. Ticknor volunteered in the United States Peace Corps and was a health educator with the Allegheny County Health Department, in Pittsburgh, Pa. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Medical Society of the State of New York.
Dr. Greggo received her undergraduate degree at Houghton College, and earned a Master of Public Health at the State University of New York at Albany. She received her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine, in Grenada. Dr. Greggo has been published in the American Journal of Health Education.
Before joining Bassett, family nurse practitioner Michelle Kelley worked in a cardiovascular clinic in New Mexico and prior to that worked in a family practice clinic in Marysville, Wash. Kelley had 13 years of nursing experience, including obstetrics nursing, prior to becoming an advanced practice nurse in 2005. Mrs. Kelley earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Clemson University and a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in family nurse practitioner at the University of Maryland at Baltimore.
The providers join Drs. Scott Cohen, Thomas Holmes, Grace Holmes, and family nurse practitioner Anne St. Pierre at the Norwich Health Center.
