Bassett Hosts Two Blood Drives in August

What: Two American Red Cross blood drives in August

When: & Where: Thursday, Aug. 26, from 12:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Bassett Hall Auditorium, intersection of Beaver and Pioneer Streets, Cooperstown, N.Y.

Saturday, Aug. 28, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. – National Baseball Hall of Fame, 25 Main St., Cooperstown, N.Y. – anyone who donates on Aug. 28 at the National Baseball Hall of Fame will receive free admission on that day.

Details: Summer is a time for vacations and relaxing with friends and family, but it is also important to remember the need for blood, as donations tend to drop significantly and supplies are lower. All blood donors and those who have never donated are encouraged to make a special effort to donate at either location.

The American Red Cross, in conjunction with Staples, is offering a Netbook promotion in August. Come in to donate and you’ll be eligible to enter for a chance to win an Acer Inspire One Netbook. One Netbook will be given away every day in August.

All successful blood donors will receive a free donor T-shirt from the American Red Cross.
