Bassett Holds Fourth Annual Family Health & Wellness Expo: Hosted By Southside Mall

Cooperstown, N.Y. – The Bassett Healthcare Network will hold its fourth annual Family Health & Wellness Expo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Southside Mall, Rt. 23, in Oneonta. The Family Health & Wellness Expo brings together a variety of local organizations, encouraging healthy lifestyles. With 50 participating vendors, mall officials expect thousands of attendees. Giveaways, games, food and more will be a part of the event throughout the day and will target all age groups.

“For the fourth year there has been tremendous response from organizations in the Oneonta area who will be participating as vendors at the Family Health & Wellness Expo,” said Steven Garner, manager for Community Health Programs at Bassett Healthcare Network. “The Health & Wellness Expo is a celebration of what is available in our region for people of all ages to become healthy and stay healthy.”

Expo highlights:

• 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Central New York Radio Group, live remote
• 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Child passenger safety seat inspections
• 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Wellness screenings provided by O’Connor Hospital & Oneonta Health Center
• 11:30 a.m & 1:30 p.m. State University of New York College at Oneonta - Music Industry Percussion Ensemble - West African drumming and Brazilian Samba
• Noon – Free healthy lunch snack food samples prepared by chef Brian Wrubleski, director of Food Service, Bassett Medical Center
• 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Demonstrations by Oneonta Karate and Dojo
• 2:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. City of the Hills Chorus performance
