Accreditation Awarded to Mammography Department at Oneonta Specialty Services

Cooperstown, NY – The mammography department at Bassett Healthcare Network - Oneonta Specialty Services (OSS) has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation for achieving high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field conducted the evaluation.

The accreditation is awarded by the American College of Radiology and assures patients that the organization is committed to continuous quality improvement, safe patient practices and the best possible outcomes. Accreditation is the most commonly accepted way of assuring quality care and services.

Screening mammograms are offered at OSS every Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesdays 1:00 – 4:30 p.m. and Thursdays 8:00 - 11:30 a.m. As a convenience to patients, screening mammograms are also available on the last Monday of every month from 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. For appointments, call 1-800-BASSETT or 607-433-6300.
