A Resource Fair For Seniors At Bassett Medical Center
Cooperstown, NY – With over 11,000 people 60 years of age and older living in Otsego County, the needs of seniors are significant and yet help can sometimes be difficult to access easily in this largely rural county. For that reason, Bassett Medical Center is holding a Senior Resource Fair Wednesday, October 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the fieldstone building on Atwell Road in Cooperstown.
"We looked at the common areas of interest among our seniors and pulled together the folks who can get them the answers they need on a variety of topics," said Nan Apps, director of Service Excellence for Bassett. "We’ll have experts on everything from medications, financial assistance for medications and home health equipment to skilled nursing care, home care for seniors, hospice, senior nutrition and orthopedics."
Among the organizations and agencies that will have staff on hand to answer questions at the Senior Resource Fair are:
