Ambulatory (Same Day) Surgery

Once upon a time, surgery meant a long stay at a large and unfamiliar hospital, far from home. Those days are gone. Today, many common surgical procedures are done on an outpatient (same-day) basis. Here at O’Connor Hospital, dozens of general surgery and other minor outpatient procedures are available four days a week, for your convenience.

Our Same Day Surgery program features high-quality, personalized care by a whole team of professionals, using state-of-the art equipment and the latest techniques. Our surgical team includes six board-certified Bassett Healthcare surgeons, board-certified Bassett anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists, and a group of highly skilled, experienced OR nurses.
