Bassett Offers Free Living Well with High Blood Pressure Workshops

April 27, 2017

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicate that 29 percent of American adults have high blood pressure—that’s 1 of every 3 adults—and only about half of those have their condition under control. But thanks to a new program, Living Well with High Blood Pressure, Bassett Healthcare Network patients in Otsego, Herkimer, Madison and Chenango counties have access to an evidence-based self-management program to support a decision to be a more active manager of this chronic health condition. Living Well with High Blood Pressure is a free workshop for people who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure but want to understand its causes, the importance of taking medications correctly and about the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) eating plan. Discover and learn with a group of your peers practical ways, tips and techniques, to help you manage high blood pressure. Call today to sign up and take control of your high blood pressure, instead of letting it control you.
