Transitional Year Resident Schedule
PGY 1: Rotation	Duration	On-Call
Medical Service	*	Every 4th night until 8 p.m.
Night Float	2 weeks	5 nights/week8 p.m.-7 a.m.
Inpatient Surgery	*	Every 3rd night
Intensive Care Unit	4 weeks	Every third night
Outpatient Medicine	4 weeks	No Call
Emergency Medicine	4 weeks	12 hours; varying shifts
Electives	13 weeks	No call
Vacation	3 weeks

* Time spent on these two services needs to make up 20 weeks. 4 weeks is required on each, and the remaining 16 weeks is developed by the interests of the residents.
