Conferences - Bassett Healthcare

Conferences designed for resident teaching occur at least once daily, and frequently twice. A core curriculum of conferences stresses relevant topics in general internal medicine and primary care. There is equal emphasis on ambulatory and inpatient medicine including Behavioral Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Community Medicine. In addition, some discussions introduce the resident to methods of improving access and quality of existing healthcare systems. Residents are required to attend 60% of medicine conferences. Each resident in the three year residency track will present a lecture on a topic of the resident's choice at the Department of Medicine Grand Rounds.
