Laboratory

The Laboratory Department of the FoxCare Network operates 24/7/365 as a full service department, accredited by the New York State Department of Health Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Unit and JCAHO. It and is divided into chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, hematology, blood transfusion service, microbiology, histology, pathology, cytology and laboratory information systems. The nearly 40 members of the staff man the main laboratory, 2 outpatients collection stations and provide oversight in nearly a dozen off-site provider office testing locations. All technicians and technologists are New York State Department of Education licensed personnel. The laboratory department performs nearly 1.5 million tests per year, utilizing the latest in technologically advanced instrumentation.
